Silver Beach Sightseeing Tourist Place



Silver Beach is a one of the important attraction place and the best things to do in Cuddalore. The beach is located on the southeast costal area of India in Tamil Nadu state along with the Coromandel Coast of Bay of Bengal. The Cuddalore beach is the second longest beach on the Coromandel Coast and is also considered to be one of longest beaches in Asia. It is just 2kms from Cuddalore new town.
The South Cuddalore bay area to the Silver Beach is separated from the beach by the Gadilam river backwaters and is make a separate island. This is somewhat better for water sports and boating. To the west of Silver Beach are thick mangrove forests. Bird lovers will get plenty of thrills here because many species of birds swarm the mangroves. However, is away by the busy life of the city.

It is an attractive location with the everlasting stretches of yellow sand and the white-tipped waves of the blue sea deafening onto the seashore. Silver Beach is also home to the historic Fort St. David, which is one of the noteworthy forts built by the British.
